Regular Season Round 17: Belfius Mons - Aalst 72-62

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (7-9) beat 6th ranked Okapi Aalst (7-10) in Jemappes 72-62 on Saturday. Serbian-Bosnian forward Adin Vrabac (205-1994, agency: PEPI SPORT) nailed 22 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Keith Braxton (196-1997, college: SFU) accounted for 17 points and 9 rebounds. Four Belfius Mons-Hainaut players scored in double figures. Montenegrin Ivan Maras (207-1986) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Josh Price (205-1996, college: S.Indiana) added 20 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Okapi Aalst in the defeat. Belfius Mons-Hainaut moved-up to seventh place. Loser Okapi Aalst dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will meet league's second-placed Oostende on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Okapi Aalst will play against Circus Brussels (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
