Regular Season Round 20: Yambol - Levski 86-69

The most shocking disappointment of round 20 was a road defeat of higher ranked Levski (12-8) by eighth ranked Yambol (7-13) who outscored them by 17 points 86-69. Yambol looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Ivan Lilov (194-1988) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Dominick Cristiano (203, college: Pace) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The former international swingman Zlatin Georgiev (197-1985) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Lachezar Dimitrov (187-1999, agency: BIG) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Five Yambol and four Levski players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yambol maintains eighth position with 7-13 record. Levski at the other side dropped to the third place with eight games lost. They share the position with CSKA. Yambol are again looking forward to face higher ranked Levski (#4) in Sofia in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Levski will have a break next round.
