Regular Season Round 21: Randers - Bakken 89-78

The biggest surprise took place in Randers where host Randers (16-3) beat league's leader Bakken (15-4) 89-78 on Monday evening. It ended at the same time the nine-game winning streak of Bakken. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Randers forced 20 Bakken turnovers. The best player for the winners was American guard Josh Fortune (196-1994, college: Colorado) who scored 32 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Brandon Norfleet (196-1993, college: IUP, agency: Inception Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Fortune is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Randers players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international forward Darko Jukic (199-1990) who recorded 18 points and 7 assists and the former international point guard Noah Churchill (194-2003) added 15 points respectively. Randers have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader. Defending champion Bakken dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Naestved. They were replaced at the leadership position by Randers. There is only one round left in the Regular Season. And it will be most important game for Bakken this season. They will face Copenhagen trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Randers will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Horsens IC at home.
