The game in Nokia was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Kobrat (13-14) played at the court of eighth ranked Nokia (14-13). Nokia defeated Kobrat 84-72 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Nokia. Kobrat managed to win third quarter 15-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Point guard Niko Mattila (192-1994) stepped up and scored 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American guard Johnathan Stove (193-1995, college: Louisiana, agency: One Motive Sports) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds. Stove is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Nokia players scored in double figures. American power forward Javion Ogunyemi (206-1995, college: Siena) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and the other American import forward Danny Pippen (206-1997, college: Kent St.) scored 23 points and 9 rebounds. Kobrat's coach Ville Turja rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nokia moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kouvot and Vilpas. Loser Kobrat dropped to the eighth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Pyrinto. Nokia will meet at home bottom-ranked Honka (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kobrat will play against Korihait (#11) and hope to secure a win.
