Second Stage Round 3: Olomoucko - USK Praha 77-96

Rather expected game when Olomoucko (5-20) was smashed by USK Praha (13-12) in Prostejov 96-77 on Wednesday. USK Praha dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Olomoucko's 28. USK Praha had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for American guard PJ Pipes (188-1999, college: Santa Clara) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import guard Mike Okauru (190-1999, college: UNCW) accounted for 27 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures. USK Praha's coach Francesco Tabellini used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian power forward Sreten Knezevic (206-1994) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Darious Moten (202-1992, college: Mercer) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for Olomoucko in the defeat. USK Praha will meet at home Hradec Kralove (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Olomoucko will play against Slavia in Praha and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
