Second Stage Round 3: Slavia - Hradec Kralove 102-76
Date: February 15, 2023
Rather predictable result when Slavia (8-17) rolled over Hradec Kralove (4-21) in Praha 102-76 on Wednesday. Slavia shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 62.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Hradec Kralove's players. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Trevor John (190-1995, college: Drexel) who led the winners and scored 22 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Dantez Walton (198-1997, college: NKU) accounted for 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. John is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Montenegrin center Maksim Sturanovic (210-1988, agency: 011 Sports) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and the former international power forward David Skranc (203-1996, agency: Octagon Europe) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Hradec Kralove in the defeat. Five Slavia and four Hradec Kralove players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Slavia will meet at home Olomoucko (#11) in the next round. Hradec Kralove will play against USK Praha and hope to secure a win.
