The game in Rishon Le-Zion supposed to be also quite interesting. 4th placed Ramat Hasharon (8-6) played at the court of fifth ranked H.Rishon LZ (8-6). H.Rishon LZ smashed Ramat Hasharon 82-54 on Thursday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Ramat Hasharon. H.Rishon LZ forced 19 Ramat Hasharon turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for forward Kaila Charles (185-1998, college: Maryland) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Jordan Hooper (188-1992, college: Nebraska) helped adding 22 points and 6 rebounds. Four H.Rishon LZ players scored in double figures. H.Rishon LZ's coach Ziv Erez felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was forward Alisia Jenkins (186-1994, college: S.Florida) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and swingman Jazmine Jones (183-1996, college: Louisville) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. H.Rishon LZ moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Ramat Hasharon. H.Rishon LZ will meet higher ranked M.Ramat Gan (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ramat Hasharon will play against E.Holon and hope to secure a win.
