There was a surprise result in Tbilisi where ninth ranked Kutaisi (5-8) defeated higher ranked TSU (8-6) 84-78 on Thursday. The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 29-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Kutaisi looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international swingman Kakhaber Jintcharadze (196-1993, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 7 assists. American center Chris Ware (203-1989, college: Indiana Tech) helped adding 13 points and 13 rebounds. Four Kutaisi players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Malcolm Drumwright (188-1995, college: JSU, agency: DC Sports) with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and the former international power forward Beka Bekauri (209-1991, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds.
