Regular Season Round 15: E.Holon - E.Ramla 78-85

There was no surprise when 7th ranked E.Holon (5-10) was defeated at home by third ranked E.Ramla (10-4) 85-78 on Thursday. E.Ramla made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. E.Ramla had a 29-18 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Shakira Austin (196-1999, college: Ole Miss, agency: LBM Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). Latvian point guard Elina Dikaioulaku (173-1989) helped adding 22 points and 8 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Jennie Simms (183-1994, college: ODU) with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and American swingman Alex Harden (180-1993, college: Wichita St.) scored 21 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with M.Ramat Gan. E.Holon lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. E.Ramla will meet at home league's leader M.Ashdod in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. E.Holon will play against Ramat Hasharon (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
