Second Stage Round 2: Litomerice - Svitavy 68-70

Sixth-ranked Litomerice gave a tough game to Svitavy on Friday. The visitors from Svitavy managed to secure only two-point victory 70-68. However their fans expected much easier game. The former international guard Pavel Slezak (186-1984) scored 23 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jakub Jokl (208-1996, college: Utah) chipped in 10 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Svitavy's coach Peter Balint used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Swingman Jan Karlovsky (201-1999) responded with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the former international center Pavel Grunt (208-1994) scored 6 points and 5 rebounds. Svitavy are looking forward to face Sokol Pisek at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Litomerice will play against Brno 2 and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
