Very predictable result when fifth ranked Alcala (10-7) smashed at home 14th ranked SBA (1-16) 103-77 on Saturday. They outrebounded SBA 49-18 including a 37-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Alcala looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by SBA's players. Forward Daniel Manzanero (197-1994) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward Carlos Unanue (193-2000) chipped in 19 points. Alcala's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gibraltar guard Tal Zvi Bar (173-2004) produced 23 points and 4 steals and Montenegrin forward Bodin Saranovic (196-2004) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Four SBA players scored in double figures. Alcala maintains fifth place with 10-7 record, which they share with Eurogaza and Infante. SBA lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. They share it with Boadilla. Alcala will meet at home Tenerife Naut. (#6) in the next round. SBA will play against Majadahonda (#10) and hope to win that game.
