Regular Season Round 21: Oldenburger TB - Bargteheide 87-102

There was no surprise when 11th ranked Oldenburger TB (2-16) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Bargteheide (11-8) 102-87 on Saturday. Bargteheide looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American guard Jeremy Ingram (183-1991, college: AAMU) stepped up and scored 39 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winners and point guard Abdulai Abaker (185-1996) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. The best for the losing side was Andre Galler (195-1992) with 20 points and 6 assists and Fynn Lucas scored 17 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Newly promoted Bargteheide maintains seventh place with 11-8 record. Oldenburger TB lost their tenth game in a row. Oldenburger TB at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eleventh position with 16 games lost. Bargteheide will meet higher ranked Berlin BG 2000 (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Oldenburger TB will play against WSG Koenigs (#10) in Wildau and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
