There was an upset when higher ranked Melilla (9-11) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Talavera (7-13) 82-70 on Saturday. Talavera forced 20 Melilla turnovers. Strangely Melilla outrebounded Talavera 41-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American-Armenian guard Corey Silverstrom (196-1995, college: Chico St.) who scored 19 points. Elijah Mcray chipped in 17 points. Four Talavera players scored in double figures. American forward Adam Fravert (203, college: UW-Oshkosh) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and Senegalese center Massine Fall (208-1993) added 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Talavera have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Melilla lost third consecutive game.
