Regular Season Round 19: Aros - Akersberga 66-108

The most interesting game of round 19 was a home defeat of 6th ranked Aros (10-7) by fourth ranked Akersberga (11-6) who outscored them by 42 points 108-66. It ended the three-game winning streak of Aros. Akersberga forced 23 Aros turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for Joel Halling who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 7 rebounds. Arvid Lindgren helped adding 15 points and 9 rebounds. Five Akersberga players scored in double figures. At the losing side Simon Wahlberg responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and guard Oskar Ekh (190-1999) scored 18 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Akersberga have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Aros at the other side keep the sixth position with seven games lost. Akersberga are looking forward to face Jamtland 2 (#8) in Ostersund in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Aros will play at home against KFUM Sundsvall and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
