Regular Season Round 19: Torrent - Valencia 2 64-71

There was an upset when higher ranked Torrent (12-6) was defeated at home by ninth ranked Valencia 2 (9-10) 71-64 on Saturday. Center David Barbera (206-2005) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Pablo Luengo (192-2004) chipped in 20 points. Center Lucas Blasco (197-1998) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds and swingman Andreu Saez (192-2004) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Valencia 2 moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Aldaia and Castello 2. Loser Torrent dropped to the third position with six games lost. They share it with La Leonesa and Mondragon. Valencia 2 will meet at home Alginet B (#13) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Torrent will play against Alginet B (#13) and hope to secure a win.
