Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked Leverkusen (7-16) lost at home to twelfth ranked Uni Baskets (11-12) 103-96 on Saturday. Uni Baskets made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Marten Linssen (203-1998, college: St.Louis) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). American point guard Buzz Anthony (180-1998, college: RMC) accounted for 22 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winning side. Uni Baskets' coach Steven Esterkamp allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Nick Hornsby (201-1995, college: Sacramento St.) came up with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian guard Kadre Gray (186-1997, college: Laurentian) added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) respectively for Leverkusen in the defeat. Four Uni Baskets and five Leverkusen players scored in double figures. Uni Baskets moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 4 other teams.
