Fifth-ranked Vytis (19-14) made lots of trouble for third ranked Zalgiris II (24-9) in Sakiai on Saturday. The visitors from Kaunas managed to secure only two-point victory 75-73. However their fans expected easier game. Liutauras Lelevicius (201-2003) fired 19 points for the winners. Forward Emilis Bartninkas (202-2004) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Augustinas Mikstas (203-2001, agency: Octagon Europe) produced 23 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Titas Janusevicius (188-2001) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. Zalgiris II have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 24-9 record having just three points less than leader Stekas. Vytis at the other side keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Zalgiris II will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Vytis will play again at home against Zalgiris II (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
