Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Raholan P. (10-8) defeated 10th ranked Leppavaaran P. (7-11) in Tampere 79-70 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 37-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Raholan P. outrebounded Leppavaaran P. 39-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Forward Olli Kanerva (198-1996) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Tuomo Aalto (190) supported him with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Four Raholan P. players scored in double figures. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Riku Korhonen (192-2004) did not help to save the game for Leppavaaran P.. Forward Samppa Maki (193-2001) added 14 points. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Raholan P. moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Kataja Ta. Leppavaaran P. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Team Pajulahti. Raholan P. will meet higher ranked PeU-Basket (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leppavaaran P. will play against Westside ET (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
