Regular Season Round 20: Koroivos - Aias Evosmou 76-72

Very expected game when 12th ranked Aias Evosmou (7-13) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Koroivos (12-7) 76-72 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Nikolaos Kamaras (201-1997) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Panagiotis Vyrlas (208-1999) who added 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American center Kyree Walker (198-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds and center Antonis Karagiannidis (204-2002) scored 7 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Koroivos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Eleftheroupoli. Newly promoted Aias Evosmou dropped to the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Amyntas. Koroivos will meet Ermis S. (#10) in the next round where they are favorite. Aias Evosmou will play against Kavalas and hope to secure a win.
