Regular Season Round 22: BG TVO / Jahn - Bonn 2 74-101

Very expected game when 13th ranked BG TVO / Jahn (7-14) was smashed by seventh ranked Bonn 2 (11-10) in Lindhorst 101-74 on Saturday. Bonn 2 shot 60.3 percent from the field. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Point guard Janne Mueller (192-2006) notched 16 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and Canadian point guard Justin Andrew (183, college: St.Francis X.) supported him with 18 points and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds by French forward Jessy Kangaba (196-1995) did not help to save the game for BG TVO / Jahn. Italian Tomy Vicente (-2000) added 17 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bonn 2 moved-up to sixth place, which they share with 3 other teams. BG TVO / Jahn lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh position with 14 games lost. They share it with Limburg and Bensheim. Bonn 2 will meet at home higher ranked Koeln DTV (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BG TVO / Jahn will play against Muenster 2 (#4) and hope to secure a win.
