There was no surprise when 4th placed Uzhgorod (7-7) was defeated at home by leader Rivne (14-0) 73-59 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Rivne. Uzhgorod managed to win fourth quarter 18-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Rivne forced 22 Uzhgorod turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Oleksii Soloviov (192-1997) who scored 21 points. Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (206-1982, college: Binghamton, agency: BIG) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Rivne players scored in double figures. Rivne's coach Mikhail Pereverziy used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Maxym Vorobjov (193-1991) who recorded a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Andrey Saenko (193-1997) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The victory was the fourteenth consecutive win for Rivne. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Uzhgorod lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourth position with seven games lost.
