The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Krivbas 2 as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Krivbas 2 smashed 5th ranked Poltava in Kryvyi Rih 85-26. The game without a history. Krivbas 2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Poltava to just 4 points in fourth quarter and to 11 points in second half. Krivbas 2 held Poltava to an opponent 20.8 percent shooting from the field compared to 41.0 percent accuracy of the winners. Krivbas 2 forced 24 Poltava turnovers and outrebounded them 54-25 including a 22-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Poltava's players. Guard Denis Zheleznyak (184-2004) stepped up and scored 26 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and forward Mykhaylo Gladun (204-2002) chipped in 9 points and 16 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Ihor Buhaiievskii (199-1994) with 4 points and 8 rebounds and Volodymyr Vyunytskyi scored 4 points and 7 rebounds. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Poltava lost ninth consecutive game. Poltava at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost.
