Second Stage Round 11: Zalgiris II - Telsiai 94-75

The game between Top Four teams took place in Kaunas. Third ranked host Zalgiris II (25-11) smashed second-ranked Telsiai (27-9) 94-75. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Telsiai. The best player for the winners was center Motiejus Krivas (214-2004) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Gytis Nemeiksa (201-2001) chipped in 22 points. Four Zalgiris II players scored in double figures. Forward Rolandas Jakstas (202-1992) produced 17 points and center Mindaugas Norkus (200-1985) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Zalgiris II maintains third place with 25-11 record having three points less than leader Stekas. Loser Telsiai keeps the second position with nine games lost. Zalgiris II will meet Silute (#6) on the road in the next round. Telsiai will play against Mazeikiai (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
