An interesting game took place in Bytom, where higher ranked Kociewskie Diably (19-11) lost to sixteenth ranked Polonia (9-21) in a road game 80-86 on Saturday. Polonia outrebounded Kociewskie Diably 41-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. American guard Alphonso Willis (188-1998, college: A&M-Commerce) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 44 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and Michal Chrabota (196-1999) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. Kociewskie Diably's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Newly promoted Polonia maintains sixteenth place with 9-21 record. Loser Kociewskie Diably dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Tychy. Polonia will meet at home higher ranked Decka (#10) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kociewskie Diably will play against Enea Basket (#11) and hope to secure a win.
