Regular Season Round 17: Rustavi - Cactus 103-75

The game between Top Four teams took place in Rustavi. Second ranked host Rustavi (11-4) smashed 4th placed Cactus (9-7) 103-75. The game without a history. Rustavi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Cactus' players. American guard Tray Croft (185-1997, college: UW-Parkside, agency: Project B Sports) stepped up and scored 30 points and 8 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and the former international point guard Luka Bulashvili (192-1998) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Rustavi's coach Anatoli Boisa felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Ryan Allen (188-1998, college: Delaware) responded with 17 points and the former international guard Merab Bokolishvili (194-1992) scored 14 points. Rustavi have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-4 record behind leader Olimpi. Cactus lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with seven games lost. Rustavi are looking forward to face Delta (#7) in Gurjaani in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Cactus' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Tbilisi Kavkasia.
