There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Esparreguera (6-14) won against on the road higher ranked Granollers (9-11) 86-70 on Saturday. They outrebounded Granollers 45-34 including 34 on the defensive glass. Eduard Nogues (193-2003, agency: Interperformances) nailed 32 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Zion Williams (193-1998, college: Gardner-Webb, agency: Helping Ballers) accounted for 15 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Jordi Auro came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and forward Carles Homs (196-1996) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Granollers in the defeat. Four Granollers players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Esparreguera moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Granollers lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with 11 games lost.
