The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Delikatesas' (16-20) road victory over 12th ranked Kretinga (13-23) 89-74 on Saturday. Delikatesas forced 19 Kretinga turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Corey Boyd (206-1998) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import Darion Rackley (187-1992, college: JSU) who added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) during the contest. Boyd is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Delikatesas players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Martynas Mazeika (193-1985, agency: Interperformances) with 27 points and 9 rebounds and center Rytis Zabita (199-1994) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Delikatesas moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Silute. Loser Kretinga keeps the twelfth position with 23 games lost. They share it with Palanga. Delikatesas will meet Palanga (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kretinga will play against Neptunas-Akv. in Klaipeda and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
