No shocking result in a game in Giessen where seventh ranked 46ers (14-11) edged 17th ranked Leverkusen (8-17) 77-74 on Sunday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Serbian forward Stefan Fundic (200-1994, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Jordan Barnes (178-1997, college: Indiana St.) chipped in 20 points and 6 assists. At the losing side Haris Hujic (193-1997) responded with 22 points and 5 assists and American point guard TreVion Crews (183-1996, college: Bethel, IN) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Leverkusen players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. 46ers moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Karlsruhe PS. Loser Leverkusen keeps the seventeenth position with 17 games lost. 46ers will meet Duesseldorf (#16) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Leverkusen will play against Science City Jena and hope to secure a win.
