The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Polit-Halychyna's (12-10) road loss to fourth ranked Dnipro (16-6) 57-97 on Sunday. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.9 percent from the field. Dnipro had a 33-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Dnipro especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Sergiy Zagreba (214-1994, agency: BIG) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the former international forward Stanislav Tymofeyenko (205-1989, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 17 points during the contest. Four Dnipro players scored in double figures. Forward Vladlen Berezhnyy (199-1995) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Oleksandr Tishchenko (206-1989, agency: BIG) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dnipro have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Newly promoted Polit-Halychyna keeps the fifth position with ten games lost.
