There was an upset in Ma'ale Adumim where higher ranked M.Ma'ale Adum. (11-11) was defeated by twelfth ranked E.Shomron (8-14) 94-88 on Tuesday. American guard Dachon Burke (193-1997, college: USA) scored 33 points (!!!) and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Polish center Ido Flaisher (208-1998, college: Hawaii) chipped in 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Five E.Shomron players scored in double figures. At the losing side Canadian center Eddie Ekiyor (206-1997, college: Carleton) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Duane Johnson (201-1991, college: ESU) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds. M.Ma'ale Adum.'s coach Yair Gewirtz rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. E.Shomron moved-up to eleventh place. M.Ma'ale Adum. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Ramat Hash.. E.Shomron will meet at home higher ranked E.Ashkelon (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. M.Ma'ale Adum. will play against Maccabi Rishon (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
