There was a small surprise when eleventh ranked Vilkaviskis (16-21) rolled over 9th ranked Rytas 2 (17-21) in Vilnius 96-75 on Thursday. Latvian guard Eduards Hazners (193-1997) nailed 25 points for the winning side and Klaidas Metrikis (204-2000) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds. Five Vilkaviskis players scored in double figures. Forward Augustinas Kiudulas (203-2003) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and Greek Andreas Kalogiros (198-2002) added 15 points respectively for Rytas 2 in the defeat. Vilkaviskis moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Delikatesas. Loser Rytas 2 keeps the ninth position with 21 games lost. Vilkaviskis will meet at home Palanga (#12) in the next round. Rytas 2 will have a break next round.
