Regular Season Round 23: Denain-Voltaire - ASA 110-113

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked ASA (12-11) edged on the road 12th ranked Denain Voltaire (10-13) 113-110 on Friday. ASA made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized Spanish guard Tom Digbeu (195-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 47 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists (on 13-of-16 shooting from the field). American point guard Jamar Diggs (190-1988, college: Wofford) helped adding 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Nigerian-American forward Chuba Ohams (206-1997, college: Fordham) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and American-Nigerian guard Michael Oguine (188-1996, college: Montana) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. ASA have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain eighth place with 12-11 record. Denain Voltaire lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with 13 games lost. ASA will meet at home Entente Orleans 45 (#11) in the next round. Denain Voltaire will play against JA Vichy and hope to secure a win.
