Very important is a home loss of third ranked Craiova 2 (3-3) against fifth ranked Sibiu 2 (3-4) on Friday night. Host Craiova 2 was defeated by Sibiu 2 in a tough game in Craiova 60-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Craiova 2. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Craiova 2 won fourth quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vlad Georgescu (-2000) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Victor Georgescu (186-2002) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Luca Manda (-2003) with 23 points and 9 rebounds and forward Iulian Corneanu (197-1989) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sibiu 2 maintains fifth position with 3-4 record. Loser Craiova 2 keeps the third place with three games lost. They share the position with Ploiesti CSU and Agronomia. Sibiu 2 will meet at home Politehnica Iasi (#6) in the next round. Craiova 2 will play against the league's second-placed Rm Valcea II in Ramnicu Valcea and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
