There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Alcala (13-7) outscored at home much higher ranked Socuellamos (14-6) 83-58 on Saturday. Power forward Juan Gabriel Martinez (198-1993) fired a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Oscar Mendez (182-2000) chipped in 15 points. Chadian center Placide Nakidjim (205-1994) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and Polish point guard Karol Kutta (182-1996) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Socuellamos' coach Manuel Jimenez gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Alcala have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Socuellamos keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with Guadalajara and Oh!Tels ULB.
