There was an upset in Allmendingen where higher ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (10-10) was outplayed by twelfth ranked Ludwigsburg (5-16) 85-58 on Saturday. Ludwigsburg forced 20 Ehingen/Urspringschule turnovers and outrebounded them 59-24 including a 23-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Nico Mojica (196-2002) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Dutch Emmanuel Ugbo (201-2003) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Moritz Heck (201-2002) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Czech point guard Daniel Zacek (182-2001) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Ludwigsburg maintains twelfth position with 5-16 record. Loser Ehingen/Urspringschule dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Speyer. Ludwigsburg will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play against Loewen (#6) in Erfurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
