No shocking result in a game when first ranked Empoli (19-3) crushed at home 13th ranked Cagliari (4-18) 75-51 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Cagliari 44-23 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Swingman Anna Bambini (177-1999) notched 8 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and Slovenian Tina Cvijanovic (180-1998) supported her with 13 points and 4 assists. Four Empoli players scored in double figures. Even 13 points by Polish power forward Karolina Stawinska (186-1997) did not help to save the game for Cagliari. Point guard Sara Saias (168-2001) added 8 points for lost side.
