Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Muenster 2 (14-10) outleveled at home 9th ranked Recklinghausen (11-13) 90-66 on Saturday. Paul Viefhues (195-2005) stepped up and scored 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and point guard Lorenz Neuhaus (183-2003) chipped in 10 points and 7 assists. Muenster 2's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American forward Obi Okafor (198, college: Drury, agency: GoEmpire Group) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and Lennard Kaprolat (187-2002) scored 11 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Recklinghausen players scored in double figures. Muenster 2 moved-up to third place, which they share with Koeln DTV. Loser Recklinghausen dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost.
