Top ranked ETB Miners (19-5) recorded its fifth loss in Essen. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked BSV Wulfen (13-11) 93-85. ETB Miners were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Bryant Allen (183-1990, college: Dakota St.) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Gabriel Jung (185-2001) contributed with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four BSV Wulfen players scored in double figures. American guard Devin Peterson (185, college: WCU) answered with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists and Bulgarian Milen Zahariev (190-1992) added 21 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for ETB Miners. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BSV Wulfen maintains fifth place with 13-11 record, which they share with Lich Basketball. ETB Miners at the other side still keep top position with five games lost. BSV Wulfen will play against Hertener Loewen (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. ETB Miners will play against BG TVO / Jahn (#13) in Lindhorst and hope to get back on the winning track.
