No shocking result in a game in Zaragoza where fifth ranked Valls (13-9) smashed 14th ranked Helios (1-20) 100-80 on Saturday. Valls made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Helios turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Oriol Besora (182-1997) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 4 steals. Forward David Loras (204-2002) helped adding 10 points and 10 rebounds. Sergio Martinez (-2003) responded with 15 points and 5 rebounds and Alejandro Abad (-2002) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Valls moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Helios lost their fourteenth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Valls will meet at home Igualada (#13) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Helios will play against Pinta Castell in Es Castell and hope to win that game.
