Regular Season Round 19: Lavrio - Aris 81-70

There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Lavrio (5-13) defeated at home 7th ranked Aris (9-10) 81-70. It was a very good performance for American swingman Savion Flagg (201-1999, college: SHSU, agency: Green Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. His fellow American import guard RJ Cole (185-1999, college: UConn) contributed with 13 points and 6 assists for the winners. American-British forward Noah Horchler (203-1998, college: Providence) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and American guard JD Notae (188-1998, college: Arkansas) added 12 points and 5 assists in the effort for Aris. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lavrio maintains ninth place with 5-13 record. Aris lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Lavrio will play against league's leader Olympiacos in Piraeus in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aris will play at home against Ionikos (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
