Regular Season Round 19: Kolossos HH - Apollon P. 88-68

There was no surprise in Rodou where 11th ranked Apollon P. (4-15) was crushed by eighth ranked Kolossos HH (9-9) 88-68. It was a very good performance for the former international Linos-Spyridon Chrysikopoulos (206-1992) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Emmanouil Chatzidakis (205-2000) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American center Ibrahim Sylla (203-1995, college: NC A&T) answered with 13 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Alonzo Verge Jr (190-1998, college: Nebraska) added 8 points and 10 assists in the effort for Apollon P.Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kolossos HH moved-up to seventh place. Apollon P. at the other side dropped to the tenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Ionikos and Karditsas. Kolossos HH will play against higher ranked Peristeri (#3) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Apollon P.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Patras Promitheas.
