Regular Season Round 23: Dnipro - Cherkasy 78-67

Very predictable result when second ranked Dnipro (20-7) won against at home 7th ranked Cherkasy (6-20) 78-67. The game was mostly controlled by Dnipro. Cherkasy was better in second period 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Cherkasy 46-31 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Olexandr Tarasenko (203-1996, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Point guard Maksym Zakurdaev (196-1993) helped adding 20 points and 10 rebounds. Center Sergii Skira (210-2000) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and Nikita Ruslov (195-1996, agency: BIG) scored 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Cherkasy players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dnipro. They maintain second place with 20-7 record having seven points less than leader Budivelnyk. Cherkasy at the other side keeps the seventh position with 20 games lost. Dnipro will play against bottom-ranked Zaporizhye (#9) in Zaporozhye in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Cherkasy will have a break next round.
