Second Stage Round 4: E.Ramla - H.Rishon LZ 61-82
Date: March 20, 2023
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers E.Ramla (2-2) was smashed at home by fifth ranked H.Rishon LZ (2-2) 82-61 on Monday. H.Rishon LZ outrebounded E.Ramla 50-39 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by American forward Kaila Charles (185-1998, college: Maryland) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and international swingman Eden Zipel (183-2002) supported her with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four H.Rishon LZ players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 16 points and 22 rebounds by the former international center Jennifer Fleischer (191-1984, college: Pennsylvania, agency: LBM Management) did not help to save the game for E.Ramla. The former international forward Alysha Clark (178-1987, college: MTSU) added 19 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. H.Rishon LZ moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated E.Ramla. H.Rishon LZ will meet at home league's leader M.Ramat Gan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. E.Ramla will play against Ramat Hasharon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
