Regular Season Round 27: Levice - Handlova 115-90

Third ranked Levice (17-10) crushed at home 8th ranked Handlova (5-22) by 25 points 115-90, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. Levice dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Handlova's 54. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Handlova's players. The best player for the winners was American power forward James Padgett (203-1991, college: Maryland) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. Czech forward Eduard Kotasek (189-1998) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists. Levice's coach Michal Madzin felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Elizjah Scott (198-1999, college: LMU) who recorded 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian guard Dean Popovic (193-1997) added 26 points and 7 assists respectively. Four Levice and five Handlova players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Iskra Svit. Handlova lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay dead last with 22 lost games. Levice will meet Prievidza (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Handlova will play against Komarno and hope to secure a win.
