Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Hagen-Haspe and 7th ranked Bonn 2 had identical 12-12 record. This time Hagen-Haspe used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Bonn 99-83 on Friday night. Hagen-Haspe outrebounded Bonn 2 58-37 including a 22-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American swingman Ricardo Artis II (198-1993, college: Wiley) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and Dutch point guard Sven Cikara (188-2001, agency: One Motive Sports) supported him with 23 points and 10 assists. Artis II is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Hagen-Haspe players scored in double figures. Hagen-Haspe's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists by Canadian point guard Justin Andrew (183, college: St.Francis X.) did not help to save the game for Bonn 2. Point guard Noah Voelzgen (186-2002) added 15 points and 6 assists for the guests. Hagen-Haspe maintains sixth position with 13-12 record. Bonn 2 lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 13 games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Hagen-Haspe will meet higher ranked Muenster 2 (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bonn 2 will play against Hamm and hope to secure a win.
