There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Poitiers (1-3) beat on the road higher ranked STB Le Havre (2-2) 82-70 on Friday. Poitiers made 23-of-28 free shots (82.1 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Ivorian center Bali Coulibaly (199-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and American Courtney Stockard (196-1995, college: St.Bonaventure) who added 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Poitiers' coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Valentin Bigote (196-1992) responded with 21 points and 6 assists and American forward Fred Thomas (196-1993, college: MSU) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. Poitiers left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser STB Le Havre dropped to the third position with two games lost. They share it with 9 other teams. Poitiers will meet at home Orchesien BC (#9) in the next round. STB Le Havre will play against Union Rennes (#7) and hope to secure a win.
