Sixth-ranked Rimini (13-13) gave a tough game to second ranked Pistoia (20-6). The visitors from Pistoia managed to secure only three-point victory 77-74. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Rimini. Pistoia made 21-of-24 charity shots (87.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Rimini turnovers. American guard Zach Copeland (193-1997, college: Illinois St.) notched 33 points (!!!) to lead the effort and British forward Carl Wheatle (200-1998, agency: Octagon Europe) supported him with 11 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds by American-Nigerian power forward Derek Ogbeide (205-1997, college: Georgia, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Rimini. American point guard Jazz Johnson (178-1996, college: Nevada) added 21 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Rimini's coach Mattia Ferrari rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pistoia maintains second position with 20-6 record behind leader Cantu. Newly promoted Rimini dropped to the fifth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Cividale.
