Second Stage Round 3: Oostende - Den Bosch 82-56

Rather predictable result when Belgian Oostende (2-1) smashed at home Dutch Den Bosch (0-3) 82-56 on Sunday. They outrebounded Den Bosch 44-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was Olivier Troisfontaines (196-1989) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Serbian power forward Nikola Jovanovic (211-1994, college: USC) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Troisfontaines is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian Verners Kohs (203-1997) who recorded 11 points and 5 rebounds and Australian guard Emmett Naar (185-1994, college: St.Mary's, CA) added 6 points and 7 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Oostende will meet Zwolle (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Den Bosch will play against Spirou Charleroi and hopes to get finally their first victory.
