Regular Season Round 21: H.Jerusalem - H.Haifa 85-82

Tenth-ranked Hapoel Haifa (6-15) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (14-6). Hapoel Jerusalem managed to secure only three-point victory 85-82. However their fans expected much easier game. Hapoel Jerusalem made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Trinidad and Tobago-American Khadeen Carrington (193-1995, college: Seton Hall) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Brandon Brown (183-1989, college: UMW) contributed with 19 points for the winners. American forward Justin Tillman (203-1996, college: VCU) answered with a double-double by scoring 31 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import point guard Anthony Hickey (180-1992, college: OK State, agency: Octagon Europe) added 11 points, 7 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals in the effort for Hapoel Haifa. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Hapoel Jerusalem. They moved-up to third place. Hapoel Haifa lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 15 games lost. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against league's leader Maccabi Tel-Aviv in Tel Aviv in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hapoel Haifa will play at home against Ironi Nes-Ziona (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
