Celje celebrated WABA League title. They nipped Buducnost in a tough championship game on Sunday to conquer the trophy. Buducnost was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 23-16 charge of Celje, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Blaza Ceh (181-2003) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and Australian Taylah Simmons (185-1997, college: Southeastern) chipped in 15 points. Celje's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side point guard Marija Lekovic (170-2003) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Dragana Zivkovic (183-2001) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds.
